Installer Terms & Conditions

Alltec Ltd — Approved Installer Agreement

Last updated: June 2026

1. Overview & Relationship

These Terms & Conditions ("Agreement") govern the relationship between Alltec Ltd ("Alltec", "we", "our", "us") and any individual or company engaged as an approved installer ("Installer", "you") to perform Starlink installation services on behalf of Alltec.

By accepting a job through the Alltec Network platform, you agree to be bound by this Agreement in full. This Agreement supersedes any prior verbal or informal arrangements.

Installers are engaged as independent contractors, not employees of Alltec Ltd. You are responsible for your own tax obligations, insurance, and compliance with all applicable New Zealand laws and regulations.

2. Job Allocation & Customer Booking

When a job is assigned to you through the Alltec platform, you take on full responsibility for that job from allocation through to completion. Specifically:

  • —You must contact the customer within 2 business days of job allocation to confirm and schedule the installation appointment.
  • —You are responsible for coordinating a mutually agreed installation date and time directly with the customer.
  • —You must update the job status in the Alltec platform promptly — including marking the job as "Booked" once a date is confirmed.
  • —Failure to make contact with the customer or book the job within a reasonable timeframe may result in the job being reassigned.
  • —You must arrive at the scheduled appointment on time. If you are unable to attend, you must notify both the customer and Alltec at least 24 hours in advance.
  • —Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations will result in removal from the Alltec installer network.

3. Installation Standards

All installations must be carried out to a professional standard in accordance with:

  • —Starlink's official installation guidelines and best practices.
  • —New Zealand building code and relevant safety regulations.
  • —Alltec's internal quality and workmanship standards.
  • —Health and safety requirements applicable to working at heights.

Substandard installations that result in a return visit, customer complaint, or remedial work will be the financial responsibility of the Installer. Alltec reserves the right to withhold payment until the installation meets acceptable standards.

4. Equipment, Stock & Accountability

Alltec may supply equipment to Installers including, but not limited to, roof mounts, J-mounts, pipe mounts, cabling, fixings, and accessories ("Supplied Equipment"). The following conditions apply:

  • —All Supplied Equipment allocated to an Installer is the financial responsibility of that Installer from the time of allocation.
  • —Installers must maintain accurate records of all equipment held and used on each job.
  • —Equipment used on a job must be recorded and reconciled against the job in the Alltec platform.
  • —Any equipment that cannot be accounted for — whether lost, misplaced, damaged, or unrecorded — will be charged back to the Installer at the current replacement cost.
  • —Alltec reserves the right to conduct periodic stock audits. Installers must co-operate fully with any audit request.
  • —Equipment must not be used for any purpose other than Alltec-assigned jobs without prior written approval.
  • —Damaged equipment resulting from misuse or negligence will be charged to the Installer.

Charges for unaccounted or damaged equipment will be deducted from the Installer's outstanding job payments. If there are insufficient funds owed, an invoice will be issued and must be paid within 14 days.

5. Damage, Liability & Public Liability Insurance

As an independent contractor, you are solely responsible for any damage caused to a customer's property or person during the course of an installation. Alltec Ltd accepts no liability whatsoever for damage caused by an Installer.

  • —You must hold a current Public Liability Insurance policy with a minimum cover of $1,000,000 NZD at all times while performing installations for Alltec.
  • —A copy of your current Public Liability Insurance certificate must be uploaded to your company documents in the Alltec platform, with the expiry date set. You will be reminded automatically as your policy approaches expiry and must upload a renewed certificate before the expiry date to remain active on the network.
  • —Any damage caused to a customer's property must be reported to Alltec immediately and no later than 24 hours after the incident.
  • —You are required to lodge a claim with your own Public Liability Insurance to repair or compensate for any loss or damage caused during an installation.
  • —Alltec will not cover, contribute to, or indemnify any damage claim arising from an Installer's actions or negligence.
  • —Failure to hold adequate insurance, or failure to disclose damage, may result in immediate removal from the Alltec installer network and potential recovery of costs from the Installer directly.

Alltec may, at its discretion, assist in facilitating communication between the Installer and the customer regarding damage claims, but accepts no responsibility for the outcome of any such claim.

6. Health & Safety

Installers are responsible for their own health and safety and that of those around them while on site. You must:

  • —Comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 (New Zealand) and all applicable regulations.
  • —Conduct a site safety assessment before commencing any installation.
  • —Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, particularly when working at heights.
  • —Hold a current Working at Heights certification where required.
  • —Not proceed with an installation if site conditions pose an unacceptable risk to safety.
  • —Report any on-site incidents or near-misses to Alltec within 24 hours.

7. Certifications & Compliance

Installers must maintain all necessary certifications, licences, and qualifications required to perform installation work in New Zealand. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • —A valid and current driver's licence.
  • —Working at Heights certification (where applicable).
  • —Any trade-specific licences required for the work being performed.
  • —Current vehicle warrant of fitness and registration for any vehicle used for installations.

Alltec reserves the right to request copies of certifications at any time. Operating without required certifications is grounds for immediate removal from the installer network.

8. Payment Terms

Payment to Installers is calculated based on the agreed installer amount for each job. The following terms apply:

  • —Payment is processed only after a job is marked as "Complete" and verified by Alltec.
  • —Alltec reserves the right to withhold payment pending investigation of any complaint, damage claim, or quality concern relating to the installation.
  • —Any deductions for unaccounted equipment, damage, or penalties will be applied before payment is released.
  • —Alltec is not responsible for delays in payment caused by incomplete or inaccurate job records submitted by the Installer.
  • —Payments are tracked through the Alltec portal and will be made on net-30 day terms, in line with when Alltec receives payment from Starlink.
  • —Installers are responsible for managing their own GST obligations.

9. Confidentiality & Customer Data

In the course of performing installations, Installers will have access to customer personal information (name, address, contact details). You agree to:

  • —Use customer data solely for the purpose of completing the assigned installation.
  • —Not share, sell, or use customer data for any other commercial purpose.
  • —Comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 in all dealings with customer information.
  • —Not contact customers directly for any purpose unrelated to the assigned Alltec job without prior written approval.

10. Conduct & Professionalism

As a representative of the Alltec network, Installers are expected to maintain a professional standard at all times. This includes:

  • —Treating customers with respect and courtesy at all times.
  • —Presenting in a neat and professional manner on site.
  • —Not making representations to customers about Alltec's services, pricing, or policies beyond what is agreed.
  • —Installers are encouraged to identify and discuss additional network or installation needs with customers.
  • —Refraining from any conduct that could bring Alltec's reputation into disrepute.

Alltec reserves the right to remove any Installer from the network immediately and without notice for serious breaches of conduct.

11. Termination

Either party may terminate this Agreement with 14 days' written notice. Alltec may terminate immediately and without notice in the event of:

  • —Serious misconduct, fraud, or dishonesty.
  • —Repeated failure to meet installation or booking standards.
  • —Failure to hold adequate insurance or certifications.
  • —Damage caused to a customer's property that is not reported or actioned appropriately.
  • —Breach of confidentiality or misuse of customer data.
  • —Any conduct that poses a risk to the safety or reputation of Alltec or its customers.

Upon termination, all Supplied Equipment must be returned to Alltec within 7 days. Any outstanding equipment charges will remain payable.

12. Limitation of Liability

Alltec's total liability to an Installer under this Agreement is limited to the total amount of installer payments owing for completed and verified jobs at the time of any claim. Alltec accepts no liability for loss of income, consequential loss, or indirect damages arising from job cancellations, platform changes, or network suspension.

13. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Nothing in this Agreement limits any rights the Installer may hold under applicable New Zealand employment or contracting legislation.

14. Acceptance

By accepting a job allocation through the Alltec Network platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Installer Terms & Conditions.
